My Last “Great” Conversation

#NaBloPoMo My Last "Great" Conversation

As you know, #OnWednesdaysWeHaiku. So we’ll take a break from the museum series for a little poetry.

Today’s prompt is “your last great conversation”. And while I can think of many in depth conversations, what first came to mind was the conversation I have with each of my children at the end of the day. It goes something like this:

“How was school today?”
(I ask like I’ll get answers).
It’s the same each day.

It’s the same each day –
“It’s fine, mom,” silence following.
That’s not an answer.

That’s not an answer
It leaves me with the question
How WAS school today?

I’m participating in NaBloPoMo and NanoPoblano for the entire month of November! Click on one of the badges below to read more.
