I’ve decided to jump into Haiku as a new challenge. Today’s prompt at Haiku Horizons is “fast”.
Lent. Hour four. No food.
Why does a fast go soooooooooo slow?
Damn. Chips don’t count, right?

Thank you!
What a fun idea!!! Keep it up!
Thanks!
Great haiku… I fast periodically and it does seem to go by soooo slow!
I know! That stretch between breakfast and lunch is a killer for me. ;-P
*laughs* I usually fast for 3-7 days every couple of months.. killer trying to wait the time out
Yes…that would be difficult. Killer is the perfect word. 😉
Wow, I like this challenge a lot need to check the book out, thanks for the post.
It’s a lot of fun!!
Hee hee! That is definitely something I would write. 🙂
Haha! It is!
I have to agree. Chips shouldn’t count. How many hours in now?
LOL. Too many. Like my New Years resolution – that one’s never going to last.
Oh well done – so true! And holy cow that’s this week???!!!
So I hear!
Great Haiku! You captured how I would feel exactly. Sending some chips your way. 🙂
LOL. Thank you!!
Brilliant sums it up perfectly x Does cake count?
Cake might count. Only if it has icing though.
Definitely as long as it’s chocolate butter icing x
Of course! Is there any other kind?
Sharing!
Thank you!
Nice one! The haiku is very witty and the point was so clear. Almost forgot about Lent hahaha. Good luck with your fasting.
Thank you!
Good job! I’m not sure if I could write a haiku that sounded good.
It does take a bit of crafting! Thanks for stopping in!
