Now my dear Hubby
Will have lots of Spring yard work
Granting me some peace
For realsies. His cabin fever is driving me crazy 🙂
Oh dear. Lucky it’s warming up then!!
I so long await
for the springtime rain
then lament the wet
Haha. Yes!
Lovely, wistful mood. Love the line about winter regrets.
Thank you!
You captured the relief of the seasons changing eloquently. Were you going for the kind of haiku Rowan talked about or were you traveling down your own road? Either way, this is lovely.
I closely reviewed all of Rowan’s rules and tried very hard to hit all of them. I am very pleased with the result! Thank you!
I can feel the gentle power of the spring rain–such a wonderful visual combination of the concrete and abstract.
Thank you!
Perfect haiku. I want to know what winter regrets you have. ☺
I agree – it makes me wonder if the regrets are related to the weather or just happened during that time frame. Calling them “winter regrets” pokes the reader’s imagination.
The winter/spring dichotomy was more figurative for me. The winter was the time I spent with my ex husband – and the coming spring is my life after that.

I’m loving it. Wishing for literal and figurative spring. It’s also meteorological spring, I believe! As of yesterday.
Not here. We had MORE snow. Although it’s supposed to get much warmer this weekend.
winter regrets. ***
Here’s hoping for sunshine, either way.
We have sunshine. We also have more f****ng snow.
WE had a flurry of snow today. GOOD GRIEF WINTER – BEGONE ALREADY!
Yahss!
Love it! Those puddles have yet to do the same for me… maybe next month. 🙂
Here’s hoping. I’d love to see some flowers poking up soon.
