  2. You captured the relief of the seasons changing eloquently. Were you going for the kind of haiku Rowan talked about or were you traveling down your own road? Either way, this is lovely.

  3. I can feel the gentle power of the spring rain–such a wonderful visual combination of the concrete and abstract.

    1. I agree – it makes me wonder if the regrets are related to the weather or just happened during that time frame. Calling them “winter regrets” pokes the reader’s imagination.

        The winter/spring dichotomy was more figurative for me. The winter was the time I spent with my ex husband – and the coming spring is my life after that.

  4. I’m loving it. Wishing for literal and figurative spring. It’s also meteorological spring, I believe! As of yesterday.
