After my Easter post and against my better judgement, I agreed to meet the Goblin King for mediation a few days later than the original date that was offered to us. That day is today. I got myself a new t-shirt to wear to the meeting.
I’m going to ask you all for your collective positive energy.
I will need strength to go into this mediation.
I will need to remain calm and collected.
I will need to be willing and able to stop the meeting and leave if it’s a waste of time.
Although it’s not the only topic we’ll be discussing, my aim is to (at the very least) come out of the meeting with a summer schedule I can live with. Ideally, the summer schedule will be set in stone for the next several years. I’m not going to hold my breath – but I have to go into this meeting hopeful for a good result.
If it’s not too traumatic, I may provide a full update next week. (If it’s as much as a farce as I expect, I might live tweet it…we’ll see).
In the meantime, the mediator takes forms of electronic payment (so I can transfer her the money directly from my bank after the meeting is over). I’m thinking about passwords. #sorrymyexisanasshole. Got any other suggestions?

I hope that hit went well!!!I can’t even fathom going through all of this. Can’t. You are so strong.
It did. And I’m pretty sure you’ll never have to.
I hope it went well, Liv! At least, I hope it went better than expected. I look forward to hearing more. Was it your first mediation with GK?
No it wasn’t the first (hence my apprehension). We got it done though.
Ohhh geez, sending HUGE wishes of good luck in your direction, and SO hoping it all goes well.
It went reasonably well. Thanks Lizzi.
Good. I’m glad 🙂
I may be too late, but sending you all the good vibes and the crossed fingers, toes and eyes!
They worked. Thanks.
Prayers of luck and patience and peace your way!!! <3 <3 <3. Hang in there!!
Thanks Jane!
Good luck, I hope you can convince him this will be as much for his and the kids benefit as for yours.
