I’ll bet you were expecting a microstory weren’t you? YeahWriteMe has decided to move in another direction and won’t be providing weekly prompts for my 42-word microstories any more. So, while I look for another project, I’ll jump in with a haiku this week using the haikuhorizons prompt “spring”.
Nature’s cycle spins.
Winter winds become warm breezes
Flowers swing and sway.
Flowers swing and sway.
Colors shift and reflect light
Growing to the sun.
Growing to the sun.
The blooms fade with summer’s heat
Nature’s cycle spins.

NO!!! I LOVE your micro-stories!! I think you should keep writing them- despite the vanishing prompts. You are SO good at them.
Loved this beautiful poem. It spoke to me… Another talent you so easily gift us with. <3
I think I will – I really enjoy the challenge of them.
And thank you. I’m blushing now.
Lovely. Have you thought of doing the Six Sentence Stories at Uncharted Blog?
I’m thinking about it! I like the finiteness of the 42 words…but might jump in just for a try.
This was a refreshing reminder of the spring weather we have had recently. For some reason, we have a bit of a cold front rolling in today and tomorrow, but I’m sure we’ll be feeling the summer heat soon!
I can’t wait for the summer heat and the beach. I live for it every year.
Beautiful! And I love the floating follow buttons on your site- I took advantage of them. 🙂
Thank you very much!
It was only 48 here today….still waiting, and waiting for spring! So nice to read about it!!!
Spring is here. And it’s fantastic!
Oh this is so good I love it! Nature on a spin cycle makes me giggle too. I hope you have a good day the weekend approaches! Hugs!
You have a wonderful weekend too!
I like the cycle of your words with the cycle in your words.
Thank you!
Hey, I see! The poem cycle round on itself too. I like it.
Thank you
We don’t have spring yet. Tell me what it’s like! Oh wait, you did. I’m jealous.
There’s sun here. It’s so lovely.
SO nice that spring’s finally here
Oh yes. I went for a walk outside today. It felt so good.
Makes all the difference. Glad you got out and about 🙂
Heading out now with the kids.
