As you know, #OnWednesdaysWeHaiku. So we’ll take a break from the museum series for a little poetry.
Today’s prompt is “your last great conversation”. And while I can think of many in depth conversations, what first came to mind was the conversation I have with each of my children at the end of the day. It goes something like this:
“How was school today?”
(I ask like I’ll get answers).
It’s the same each day.
It’s the same each day –
“It’s fine, mom,” silence following.
That’s not an answer.
That’s not an answer
It leaves me with the question
How WAS school today?
YUP. I still really want to know the answer to that question, times like.. 900 now.
Right? Crazy.
Good question..
And one I fear I’ll never find out the answer to.
