Welcome to my blog!

I’ve called it “Live by Surprise” – because as we all know, life is full of surprises, and mine, it seems to me, peculiarly so.  I’m just past the big four-oh!, a mother of three children by two vastly different men (if you can call the first one that – I certainly am using the definition very loosely), and a fur baby who looks like a dog but identifies as a featherless chicken.  Over five years ago, I had a car accident that broke my right leg in four places (or more depending on how you count).

Some would suggest, I have made some mistakes.  But I prefer not to look at them that way.  Perhaps some would even say I failed spectacularly.  I don’t like to look at life that way either.  I look at life as a learning process.  And unlike some people, I have learned a LOT!  And thankfully – I have been able to manage all of the little surprises that life has thrown at me!

I hope that you all enjoy my blog – I’ll be touching on all the different aspects of my life, including coping with my ex (who we now call the Goblin King), raising my three beautiful children with all of their spectacular abilities, my featherless chicken and last (but certainly not least), my life with the man who completes me in every way.

For various reasons related to legal issues and the privacy of my family, some of the names have been changed to protect the innocent.

Yours is much simpler. I dabbled with “the asshole” but kept slipping in front of the kids.
